Start your engines!
Back in the 70s, when everyone was totally stupid about fitness, my babysitter used to totally starve herself and then work out. She was super thin, yeah, but she was grumpy as hell, and frankly even though she was a stone fox, she lacked a certain glow of wholesomeness that one tends to appreciate in babysitters. My babysitter was a 70s waif, and even though it was totally cool to have a waif babysitter in the 70s, I would have rather had a healthy, nice babysitter.
Anyway, if you’re getting this little e-missive, it’s because you work out at The Firm. And if you’re working out, you should eat. And just because you’re eating doesn’t mean that you have to necessarily replace all of those calories you burned in class. There are ways to eat well, and be healthy and happy, and still get lean. And we have someone who can totally help you: Bobbi Horner started in September, and is The Firm’s very own on-site Licensed Registered Dietitian. Bobbi is your ringer for nutritional advice and food and supplement questions.
If you’re spending the time and money to work out on a regular basis, you might as well get your money’s worth and get a good workout, right? In order to do so, your body needs fuel. Bobbi can review what you’re “putting in the tank” and will give you some direction for better choices. Tis the Season to Detox!
Now that you’re done pounding champagne every night for a month, it is suddenly a great time of year to reset the odometer, wipe the slate clean and purify, purify, purify. The Firm now has Detoxification kits that will help you go through a detoxification process efficiently and safely. Viva la SAMY!
If you have been to The Firm in the past 10 months you have surely seen the The Brazilian Cha-Cha-Cha named Samy Matos running around Personal Training and teaching CORE on Monday and Wednesdays at 9:30AM and Thursday nights at 5:15pm.
It’s hard to miss her: She’s suuuuuper hot! But while she may look like a Hottie Tottie with a Naughty Body, she has got a punch that could knock you into next week. She is a Russian Kettlebell Challenge Certified Instructor, which means that she’ll guide you through a workout with weighty objects that resemble old cannonballs with handles on them. These funny little blobby things pack an intense workout and, if done right, will deliver some extreme all around fitness. They incorporate strength, and flexibility, and are a powerful tool for fixing your body composition, whichever way it needs fixing.

Is it hot in here?
You know how hard it is to think of something wonderful to do on Valentines day. There’s so much pressure, and it’s so hard to think of something clever: movies aren’t that special, dinner can be done any night, horse drawn carriage with roses is kinda played out… omg, I’m bored.
